Gastro-Intestinal PED recomendation.....
Can anyone recommend one in Suffolk County.
I see that some have recommended Schneiders.....is it worth the ride all the way to Nassau or Queens?

A GREAT doc, bedside manner is lacking a bit, but he knows his stuff, we saw Dr Chawla, I LOVED her! My Mom is friends with both of them, you can't go wrong, good luck!

Dr. Bradley Kessler in West Islip. His office is across from God Sam Hospital. He was a savior and was full of suggestions and didn't talk to me like I was a crazy Mother. The Dr. from SB was rude to me and told me nothing was wrong with my child. How can nothing be wrong with my child when he was 2 years old and still was turning PURPLE when he tried to go #2? FM me if you want his number. Good Luck.

i love dr. chawla as well. true about dr. lowenheims bedside manner but all i care about is that he knows what he is doing!

i love dr. chawla as well. true about dr. lowenheims bedside manner but all i care about is that he knows what he is doing!
And he absolutely knows what he is doing, he is in HIGH demand.

I used Dr Gold from this group. I was very impressed by him.

We use Kessler also. He's great.

My boss and his wife had a horrific experience with this doctor but maybe he was having a bad day. They use Dr. Gold.

Yes it was Lowenheim. I had heard great things about him so that was why we went to see him. He basically blamed the whole thing on me and told me to stop feeding my son processed food. My other problem was that my son is such a picky eater and at that time was refusing to eat much at all.
He laughed at me when I told him that I had given my son the multi-grain English muffins that have something like 8% fiber and he still would turn purple whan trying to go. He would sometimes eat 2 of them a day. That amount of fiber would have an adult running to the bathroom. He didn't believe me.
Again he gave me no suggestions. I walked out of his office knowing nothing more than I did when I walked in. That's when I found Dr. Kessler. We have been very lucky so far but it is still a challenge to potty train and my son is 3 1/2 now but at least he goes and doesn't hold it in for days!

I used Dr. Chawla, And I thought she was great. I'll never forget when she sat me down in her office. I was in tears, cause we vouldn't figure out what was wrong wityh DD. And she said "you need to stop worring, we will figure it out" AND WE DID!
She was the only doctor that said its not in my head and that it was going to be ok. Even if it wan't it was nice to hear it!

I just want to know if there is something more wrong with Christopher than Colic??
