For Those with Morning Sickness
I get this weird pain in my stomach after i throw up. Is this normal? I wasnt worried about it, Its not severe or anything..... but now Im nervous I am hurting the baby some how with all this throwing up?
Also....Im afraid the babys not getting any nutrients? I get sick about 2 meals a day...so really Im only keeping down, maybe one meal and a snack if Im up to it. Is that ok?
Thanks !

Re: For Those with Morning Sickness
my stomach hurts a lot as well, my problem is that I throw up on empty stomach, right after I get up (just cant hold it) so I puke only water which is even worse cause it is so much easier to throw up some food... I am sure you are not harming the baby, as long as you are keeping some food down and taking the vitamins, I am sure everything is ok

Re: For Those with Morning Sickness
I have the same problem as aga - I only throw up water. It sucks, but I think the pain after is round ligiment pain? but of course I haven't verified it with th OB.
As for nutrients, my mom mentioned to me once, that the baby gets the nutrients first and the mom is the one that suffers. LOL. who knows if she is right, but it made me feel better.

I feel your pain. That is me exactly. And everytime I throw up, its always stomach acid, never food (sorry TMI) SO I wonder if that means the baby isn't getting enough nutrients, or if the baby is getting all of them, and leaving me with none.......

Re: For Those with Morning Sickness
Ladies -
my doctor told me time and time again that the baby is a parasite. The only one losing nutrients is YOU. The baby gets EVERYTHING it needs from your body, even if you are puking 24/7 and losing crazy amounts of weight, which is what happened to me....
Of course, dehydration is another story - so if you cant keep water down (yoo hoo - me again!) then you must take somehting like Zofran, which was a LIFESAVER for me!!!
Good luck!

I would say something to the dr now, if you are having a hard time keeping things down, maybe he'll give you zofran, why suffer to the 7th?
I feel for you I feel miserable, but as long as i eat every hour i don't puke.
I hope you get relief soon
Don't worry about the baby, lipgloss is totally right, the baby is the perfect parasite, he/she drains from you first.

Re: For Those with Morning Sickness
I thought that too that I was hurting the baby from throwing up b/c your throat and stomach muscles begin to hurt from gagging and than throwing up repeatedly. I am 22 wks. now and the baby is fine. Maybe the dr. can give you something. Mine only lasted around a month so I didnt take anything but I live dont yogurt, fruit and juice for that month.
