Would you ask this of your SO?
If your SO had a business relationship with a person of the opposite sex that you didn't "approve" of (or that you felt somewhat uncomfortable with SO being around them) - would you ask him/her to dissolve that relationship - assuming that this business relationship is completely unnecessary?

Re: Would you ask this of your SO?
its hard to say b/c thats really vague. But if there was absolutely No reason for him to have to interact with her in anyway than just for the sake of it... and she had acted inappropriately... we would definately have a talk. But without having a better idea, i dont know what my real stance on it is

Re: Would you ask this of your SO?
Nope - no inappropriate behavior. Just straight business... but they're a dime a dozen - like say a contractor. He could get someone else at the drop of a hat. Would you ask him to drop her & get someone else just because she made you uncomfortable?

if it wasn't an important business relationship and the chick made me feel weird...YUP...I'd ask him to change it

if there's no inappropriate behavior or no reason to suspect inappropriate behavior, then i don't see why the SO would feel uncomfortable

I think she might mean tone of voice, body language, and maybe "looks" being directed at the "wife", making the wife feel uncomfortable...

Re: Would you ask this of your SO?
thats a really tough situation. I know that my DH would take it as me not trusting HIM, and that would upset him (and i mean ALOT... he gets offended by that situation and feeling like his intergrity is in question).. and eventhough you clearly trust your DH, but not this chick- i feel like he would still take it as you not having that faith in him that he thinks you should.
on the other hand, anytime that i've ever had a'bad feeling' about someone- not necessarily in this situation, but in general- i've been right. If i get that feeling like someone is 'shady' i just need them out of my life, no questions asked- and if it was a feeling like That, i know DH would understand it more, given experiences in the past.
Im sorry if that wasn't much help though Honestly, i'm a firm believer in Choosing your battles. If the woman made me ridiculously uncomfortable, and i couldnt get past that feeling, no matter how hard i tried, then i would definitily talk to him about it. but i would put alot of thought into it first before i brought it up... b/c i wouldnt want him to feel like HE was the one being questioned

ah, well then yeah, if the girl was just acting weird, i'd tell the SO to look elsewhere

I would say yes, if you felt uncomfortable.

No, because I have no control of whom he works with.

That's okay - I'm not looking for any help! It's just a hypothetical inspired by something that happened to my cousin.

Re: Would you ask this of your SO?
yes I would. I am an insecure and untrusting person (of others, not DH). I asked him to stop talking to one female friend because she was obsessed with him...crazy jealous over our relationship--I had never met her, but I know that she STILL has ways of finding out info on him

Re: Would you ask this of your SO?
I cannot control who he works with and if I felt uncomfortable, I would need to discuss it with him. If I all of a sudden realized I didn't trust him, that is because of him. But whatever I was feeling I would discuss with DH

Re: Would you ask this of your SO?
I wouldn't tell him to drop the relationship, but I would be sure to express my feelings about it. I would want him to know it makes me uncomfortable and to "watch out" for her - he doesn't always see it as someone flirting with him. I trust him completely, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Re: Would you ask this of your SO?
well Im not really worried about DH any any relationships, so no...I wouldnt ask. BUT i dont get jealous...I see nothing wrong on the other hand with people being uncomfortable with it either and asking...everyone has their own level of comfort with their SO and someone of the opposite sex...
