Feel Good Story
I am sitting here totally shocked. A couple of weeks ago I left a Gap bag on the LIRR on my way home one night. It had new clothes for my three girls (some black pants, a few t-shirts) - about $60 worth of items.
I was upset and wound up going back to the store the next day to purchase the items again as my oldest really needed black pants.
A week or so later I went to the lost and found at Penn Station. They told me to check again in a few weeks. I figured it was totally hopeless. Today, I was looking at my credit card statement and I see a refund for the charges. I cannot believe it. Someone must have taken the bag back to the store to return the items (the receipt was in the bag).
I don't think there is any way I will ever know who did this - but it gives me such a good feeling about humanity in general. Have to figure out a way to pay this forward.

You know., I wouldn't even have thought to do that...return the items.
I would have turned it in to Lost and Found. That was a good idea actually!

I have to admit not sure I would've even thought to do that if I found it! I just wouldve turned it in. But thats so smart and something to keep in mind!

WOW. That's so nice! Honestly, I wouldn't even think of doing that- not because I wouldn't want to, but it just wouldn't cross my mind. So glad you got your money back!
