Not sure if they are old enough but, the Franklin Institute is cool.

We loved the Franklin institute! Enjoyed the Mutter museum too, and Rodin museum. Liked the puppet show in the please touch museum. ETA: at your kids’ ages, this may Be best
This time around, we went to the liberty bell and the Betsy Ross museum which we liked, but was a fair amount of walking.

Re: Philly
We also enjoyed the Franklin Institute. Your kids may be a little young to really enjoy it. My daughter is 4 and had fun but my 8 year old really had a great time! What about Adventure Aquarium? Haven't been but it's on my list.
We didn't get to go to drexel for the natural history museum but that is also on the list.
