Another what would you pay sitter question

I'm considering hiring a "mother's helper / sitter" to come over and play with my 2 year old a few days a week.

Ideally, I am thinking a mature high school student who could come from school and stay until about 5pm (so 2 - 2.5 hours 3 to 4 days a week).

I work from home and my mom watches the kids all day (I have a 4 month old and 2 year old), but she doesn't do ANYTHING fun with them. THIS WOULD ONLY BE FOR THE 2 Year old.

I'd want said person to bring him to the park, the place in town, play outside with him, do 'fun' activities etc. (We'd pay for these obviously).

In summary:

High school student to watch 2 year old boy
2 - 2.5 hours a day
3 - 4 days a week

It's not many hours so I don't know what would make it worth a teenagers time...Is $25 a day ok or more?

I think $25 a day is fair for 2-2.5 hours. I pay my sitter $10 an hour for date night and she's a junior in HS.

This is a great idea! I just responded to your other post on this topic. This may be area dependent- but I think $12-$15 an hour is the rate by me so closer to $25-$35 for 2-2.5 hrs a day is what i would think

Thanks for you input. Haha yes! Thanks for your advice on that one too! I am thinking this may be another option we may want to look further into and possibly pursue. That way my mom gets a break and he gets some entertainment.
