My two kids have 4/4. My husband's father is deceased but his mother remarried.

my kids have one great grand parent...my moms mom. She'll be 96 in march

My kids have 3, all on my side. 2 are on the west coast and haven't met them though. The third is 101 and while her health has declined in the last 2 years it makes me so happy that my kids have had the chance to know her. My oldest was able to meet my husband's grandmother once or twice before she passed.

My kids don't have any great grandparents. They had one, dhs grandfather, up until November.

I was very lucky to grow up with all of my grandparents. All 4 of my grandparents were alive until my grandfather (dad's father) suddenly passed away 5 years ago. DS1 was almost 3 and still remembers him. I had just found out I was pregnant with DS2 when he died. DS2 is named after him. My grandmother (mom's mother) passed away in April. Both of my kids knew her very well. I still have 2 grandparents who my kids see whenever we visit my parents on LI. My grandfather, who will turn 100 this summer, still gets down on the floor to play with my kids. It's amazing and I feel very fortunate to have them in our lives.

I never had a grandmother and my only grandfather passed away when I was 10

Always wanted a grandma. They seem cool

My kids have my husbands grandmother and see her. My grandmother and grandfather (one on each of my parents side) are still alive, one does not know inhad children, the other has not met them nor has cared to.

My dad's mom is the only one. She just turned 93 in December.

Three and it's wonderful to see my son's interact with them. I am so glad that they know my nonna. My son LOVES her. Asks for her multiple times a day haha.

No ... dh's grandmother died the day after my second son was born. All the rest of the great grandparents died long before any of our kids were born. They'd mostly all be 100+ years old by now.

None; All great grandparents would be over 100 at this point my moms dad was born in 1896

I am the grandmother, my grandkids all have some great grandparents - only great grandmas. My daughters kids have 3 great-grandmothers, my other grandson has just 1 great-grandma, my mother who is 85. My mom has 10 great-grandkids, with #11 coming in April, and she is fortunate to live near 8 of them, and sees them often. She doesn't live near my grandkids, she is in NC and my grandkids live on LI and in Virginia, but she sees them several times a year.

My DS has one, my ex DH's grandmother. He had two, until he was 3, but ex DH's grandfather passed away then.

My hubby's grandmother hasn't seen him since he left the country when he was 3. Now his Uncle who cared for her is ill and most likely will pass. No one can care for her so his mother is going back to see her and try to figure out arrangements.

I wonder if I can get my butt in gear and send AJ with her so that she can meet her Great Grandmother. That would mean getting her a passport super quick as they are going in April. She'd be traveling with her Grandmother and Aunt (hubby's sister). Sadly my hubby can't go (green card, America, British, Hong Kong, blah blah). Only issue is I took her out for 5 days for Disney and I think the school would have a coronary if I took her out again. But what a unique opportunity! To see China, to visit your Great Grandmother! I mean really!

So it had me thinking.

I mean I knew my Great Grandmother on my father's side. She was 103 when she passed. I was a teenager or older. Grandpa was born when she was 14. She was pregnant at 13. So she was very young and able to be around a long time. Spit fire of a woman. I didn't speak her language but man you certainly didn't need to, to know the fire in that woman's blood.

My kids have one great grandma - DH's grandma.

They also only have 2 grandparents that are alive - my dad and DH's mom.

One. My grandma is still alive and in her 80s. She lives close so I try to take my kids over there about once a week. I love the special bond they all have!

My dd has one Great Grandmother- my dad's mom who is 87. My daughter is very close with her.

My kids have one great grandmother, my grandma who is my mom's mom. She is 96. My father's mother was alive when my son was very little, but she passed away.
