I was going to post about the same thing. I cant keep up. I think we may know more in a few days since senate (mcconnell) wants to investigate further. But i think this is going to go on well past dec 19 and Jan 20.
Our govt needs to unite its not a party thing anymore.

Nothing good.
We hate Russia apparently.
We were supposed to be friendly with them but that time has passed when something happened. We spied on them, they spied on us. We didn't like that they are shielding a whistle blower so now we just don't like them anymore. It's not quite the cold war but it sure is getting frosty.
I sit back and think about the days when we were little and told not to trust Russians. Think about all the movies when Russians were always the bad guys. Then how the Russians were good and our friends. Now for non war specific reasons they are the bad guys again. We must hate them. But we can't *SAY* we hate them out right because we have supplied them with tons of military support and weapons, money and other assistance with their wars. We have turned a blind eye or non comment on things they've done to countries that wanted freedom from Russia or have resisted them.
So now we just don't like Russia anymore. Since we don't like Trump is so nice to tie them together in a pretty bow.
Trump and anything Russian will equal nothing good

It's like we have been attacked...but are incapable of outrage.

As a strange silver lining, I was so gratified to see a sane, bipartisan effort to investigate the hacking. I can't remember when the last time was that I could say "sane" and "bipartisan" in the same sentence as "congress."

Ironically HRC loyalists will seriously think that anyone who didn't vote for Her Royal Craziness would have voted for her anyway regardless of leaked emails. Because seriously that's why the vote went to Trump?
I just don't get it. There's so much pointing the finger about why Trump won, how he won, who let him win. Why are we still debating this crap? He won! Move on! He won because we didn't want HER.
DNC put all their eggs in the basket of that b!tch and they lost. They burned Bernie and flaunted it. Then they fall over in shock when they lost? The Media bought into the idea the major cities and population stood to reflect the major of the country. They did not. Yes she won the popular vote by a landslide because of concentration of people. But the map is awfully red. She lost because she didn't reach out to the common people. She didn't offer compassion to the problem they saw. She didn't address the status quo. Instead she literally offered up more of the same.
When they can't blame anyone else, we go to Russia. So lets go global in this blame game? This is getting embarrassing all the way around. Meanwhile, on the global stage, EU is breaking up and other peoples are having issues similar to our own. Wonder how long before they blame our election for the cause.

No one (that I've heard) is saying that Russian involvement should make the election invalid or the results should be changed.
What they are saying is that Putin, who is a dangerous person, wanted to influence the election in Trump's favor and it is worth investigating WHY that is. This call for investigation is coming from both sides.. That's it. Its ridiculous that people keep saying - he won, get over it. This is not a small matter and it has nothing to do with Hillary losing the election. Having a foreign government inject themselves into our election is no small matter and is a threat to our democracy.
Tillerson as the choice of Secretary of State makes this whole deal with Russia even more troubling.

You are missing the point in my opinion, which is a foreign nation may have manipulated and interfered with our democracy to install their favored candidate. That isn't a deeply disturbing thought to you? (my guess as to their motivation is that Dump is so f*cking dumb and has so many conflicts of interest, it'd be easy to make him into putin's puppet). Who knows if they actually won him the election and what would have happened otherwise. Irrelevant. I despise hrc and the DNC. This is not about them, why she lost or any of that. It's about security of and confidence in our democratic process and it deserves a complete investigation. If republicans and democrats can't agree on that, this country is broken beyond repair.

He DID know about it and actually spoke about the possibility that it was Russia that hacked the DNC in one of the presidential debates! I can't take the "spin" anymore.

I am too but am not counting on it. But I am also wondering more than ever what is in his tax returns.
Anyway, nothing is going to change IMO. Trump's arrogance is going to get us into deep shit in more ways than one.
