My 4 year old cousin has cancer - Update 10-11-16
She was not feeling well last week. Went to the doctor. Her mom (my aged cousin) said the little one was walking funny.
They sent her for an MRI, and within 2 hours were operating on her spine to remove the part that was casing her to not walk.
Its a Neuroblastoma.
The good news is it does not look like its a death sentence. It was caught decently early. But they are going to do Chemo in the city to reduce the tumor, then remove. Pathology isn't even back yet, but they are pretty sure what it is. Just no REAL details.
Hug your family. Your dog. Your kids. Your mom.
Life is too damn short for damn and stupidity. If someone is causing drama, walk away from it.

Update:
She is going to Sloan for Chemo. It is in her spine and around her Aorta. Stage 3. The "good" news is it looks like it has NOT spread anywhere else (lymph, blood, bones). They will know for sure the pathology in a few more days.
If they had not caught this she would have been cripple within 24 hours of discovery. That's how fast it was from walking funny to surgery, and possible paraplegia.
This sucks.
The also nice thing is they set up a go fund me. in less than 24 hours they have almost $30k. Last week at Rosh Hashana they were telling me how their insurance is going to change. And that they will have an $8k deductible before insurance even kicks in. Mom is OBVIOUSLY going to have to take a leave of absence to take care of this little one. OS I its at least a blessing they wont have to worry about mom working and not having that income.
I am just sharing and NOT asking for anyone from here to donate.

Hoping she gets through treatment with as little pain as possible, kicks this cancers butt and grows to be a strong powerful woman!
DHs god daughter had leukemia (which came back 2x)
She is now a 21 year old full time college student.
Glad it seems to be early stage. Thoughts going to your family. It's tough but together with love, she'll win this battle.
