Me & a girlfriend want to hang out in Long Beach on Friday night. Any recs on bars/rests?

Depends on the type of crowd you want to be around. Older? Younger? Dancing? Outside?

Just a tip...you may want to look into some combination of trains/Uber. The parking in the main stretch of restaurants/bars is virtually impossible.
What type of place are you looking for?

Thanks! We're in our late 20's! Looking for a nice (but not super fancy) place to eat, then a nice bar to hang out at afterwards with good music but not a POSH vibe.. if you know what I mean. LOL. We're very laid back.

There are a million places like that in the West End. You could start at The Jetty and have dinner and then make your way east on Beech Street.

My family has lived in LB for 6 years now and my husband and I have a few places we love to go out to when we visit.
Swingbellys has great BBQ/beer. The Beach House has a good vibe, good music. My brother in law plays all over long beach as well and is fantastic if you like good music. Dave Kellan is his name. I believe he plays at Cabana on friday nights. And Brixx & Barley is a new favorite. Delicious grilled pizzas/burgers/beers. Can't go wrong!!

If you can get a reservation Lost and Found for dinner.
Or Jetty has good Tapas.
I'd just bar hop down west. There's a ton of places. Jetty, Minnesotas, the Inn, Saloon, etc. There all within walking distance.
