Spinoff -- Maroni's
I've been wanting to go for years and we are finally going Labor Day weekend! We are about 45 minutes away (maybe more with traffic) and were thinking about getting a hotel nearby and spending the night so we can both drink as much as we want and figuring it would cost about the same as cabs or ubers round trip. Thoughts? Is there a local hotel you would recommend and/or anything else to do in the area? Was looking at Chalet Inn & Suites as an option which looks to be 5 min away

I would look on Airbnb to see if there are any rentals in the village. That Chalet place looks nicer on the website than in person. But I've never actually stayed there, so I don't know.

We are basically looking for a place to crash for the night that isnt skeevy and isnt too far from the restaurant, but I get it. I have never done an air b&b but I am not wholly opposed to it. I am also going to price out just ubering both ways but I am afraid that would dwarf the cost of the meal...

I wouldn't spend the money staying overnight. I live 45 min away as well.

Spinoff -- Maroni's
My friends used to go to the chalet for a night as teenagers. Not sure I would ever stay there. I don't know anyone that stayed there for a reason other than a place to hook up at.
It been there forever though. But no there are no hotels near by. I'd just get a car.

I dont think any locals would recommend Chalet. I dont think there is anywhere you can walk to to crash either. I would do Uber!

Re: Spinoff -- Maroni's
Just do Uber. 45 min is not that far away to warrant staying overnight

Re: Spinoff -- Maroni's
I would probably do the airbnb option. I quickly searched and found a cute "garden room" for $60. For that price, I would just do it. LOL.

I think the Chalet is a no-tell motel kinda deal. I would just uber or train it back if possible.

Re: Spinoff -- Maroni's
Thanks everyone. We are not going to stay there -- we are either going to do the service that will drive you home in your own car, or DH said he wont really drink and will drive us home himself.
