I'm kinda surprised this story hasn't made it on here. She left Twitter after being harassed by numerous people in the most vile way. The things posted about her on her direct page were so disgusting. It seems as if it all leads to this ultra conservative douche bag who is a writer for breitbart.com. The stuff said to her was so bad, Twitter permanently banned him (this was far from his first offense). This guy went as far as hacking into or creating a dummy account which made it look like she was saying horrible things. Someone sent her a picture of herself with semen on her face, multiple posts comparing her to a monkey. My stomach turned. This poor woman. No one deserves to be treated the way she has been over the past 24+ hours.
Now for my  This is our new America I suppose. The one Donald trump has created. This isn't about being PC. This is about common human decency. Who gives anyone the right to bully and harass a woman for what? Her looks? Her race? Her sex? It's disgusting. It needs to end.

If race relations have gotten worse, I think it has more to do with the fact that lots of people lost their minds after we elected a black president. I don't see what Obama has said ever that was intended to cause racial strife. I suppose some people think he and his wife were not supposed to talk about their own experiences as people of color in America.

That particular troll apparently has a history of starting anti-PC fights on Twitter. I assume it's bc he wants to make a name for himself, but Twitter has suspended his acct multiple times b/c of his trolling. I think this time was Twitter's final warning and they closed his account.
I get that there's freedom of speech - but hate speech and direct threats/attacks (in addition to getting your followers to attack) cross the line IMO.

Ever since he announced his candidacy, he's run his mouth about everyone from Muslims to women and everyone in between. This somehow has given people the idea that they can just say whatever the hell they want no matter how disgusting or offensive and they hide behind the first amendment or say things like everyone is too PC or offended. What happened to if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Before last June, at least to me, people didn't openly spew their racist remarks or bully people the way they're doing now and I believe DT has given these people the belief that they can go around being complete assholes because that's exactly what he's doing. He's a bully and it's encouraging other bullies.
That's the way I see it anyway. Agree or disagree, I don't care. These are just my observations.

Did you even read any of what was written? The poster said that Obama is teaching people to disrespect the police and has ignited the race war and I've never heard him say any of that so yes I'd like a source and not just the word of an Obama hater. I like sources because it seems not many people do their fact checking, yourself included based on some of your posts on FHF.
But I guess you can link Obama's election in 2008 as igniting the hate. Lots of racists came out then and if you really don't think there are people out there who hate him solely based on his skin color or because people think he's Muslim, well, I don't know what to tell you.

I think you are combining two things that can't be combined.
Of course you are free to dislike his policies. I am his supporter overall but I also don't agree with everything he has done.
But you can't blame him for what's been going on.
He has always voiced support for law enforcement.
Crazed, evil, hateful people are responsible for the deaths of those officers. Not President Obama.
Those people are such a small percentage of the overall BLM movement that no one can be accused of enabling them. They're outliers.
What I am SICK of seeing is the people of the BLM movement being painted with the same brush by the same people who hate when that's done to cops.
And this is not directly to the quoted poster but overall I really wish people understood what racism really means.
A black person cannot "ignite racism" as someone said earlier in the thread.
He can - and should - ignite discussion about the issue, but it didn't start with him, so he can't "ignite" the racism itself.
Oh, and I think when Kitten and others say something about how people don't understand what racism is people shouldn't take it as a put down. Most people probably don't. But I do think that white people have a responsibility to understand its definition and historical context and be reflective enough to realize it's a world we can't even imagine living in and how important the BLM movement must be to blacks who suffer so much subjugation to this day.
