If you have Verizon Wireless - You can set alerts for usage!
This is awesome.
So I have not paid a wireless bill in 12 years. All my jobs have "included" cell service.
So I just got online access.
On VZ, you can tell it to alert you if you are going over a certain threshold.
So I just set it for 50%, 75% etc.
I wont ever have an overage because I will be informed of my usage.
This is cool.

Yes I thought that was automatic.
I get texts stating I am at 50%, 75% etc.
I don't think I set it up though- I just thought everyone got them.

I'm not sure, I am on the same plan as my parents but I get texts

I have verizon but if it helps, it's under settings and then data usage. You can select when to get an alert and even set it to turn off data once you get to a chosen limit.

I have verizon but if it helps, it's under settings and then data usage. You can select when to get an alert and even set it to turn off data once you get to a chosen limit.

Me too! 
I hate when they send me alerts and I'm still a good number of days away from my new cycle!
