As for the Clintons, I'm pretty sure an ex-president with a political wife are NOT really hurting for cash. And don't kid yourself into thinking that Trump doesn't get kickbacks and pay outs for appearances or doesn't need (or want) more money. Give me a break.
Seriously, the president makes 400,000 - I don't think Hillary is in it for the cash. They are and will always be very comfortable being that Bill was president and ALL former presidents command very high prices for giving speeches.
And lets not forget that Donald is not actually a very good business person. How many companies did he bankrupt? He didn't make a killing in real estate - if he took the millions that his father gave them and invested them simply he would have made more money than he ever made in real estate. Much of his wealth comes from being a tv personality. Oh and his scam University. Such an honorable businessman.
Everything that Donald has proposed - tax cuts, a wall, more military spending, trade reform - is going to cost A LOT of money and he actually has zero idea how to finance any of it and has made asinine comments that reveal that. So good luck with us being better off with Trump. Evidence leads me to believe that he will bankrupt the country - both financially and morally.

My husband is an economist and he has lots of concerns about Trump's plans. I still don't really understand protectionism but I do know it tends to hurt more people than it helps. And given his track record of screwing contractors and other small business people, I don't really think most average folks would benefit.
I read this today about the kids who danced at one of his rallies- one of the kids' parents asked for $2500 payment for their performance after they were supposed to have a table to sell their albums. The campaign didn't follow through. You'd think Trump would have just authorized the payment as that amount is chump change to him. Article

Most of his "wealth" is him making wild valuations of his name's value. Many financial experts are putting his actual net worth at around $250 million. Considering he inherited around $400 million and a thriving company from his dad, I'd say he's horrible at running a business. I see the same thing happening with the US economy if he's in charge of it....
Most of his "business plans" are to not pay people what they are owed, and pawn off the debt to other people. With the US economy, there are no "other people" to saddle with the debt.
Some of the plans he announced are to lower taxes, and spend a lot more money on infrastructure (roads, bridges, etc.) That's great to hear.... but mathematically that can't happen. That's like a restaurant telling people "We'll pay you to eat at our all-you-can-eat buffet!" Sounds awesome, but that restaurant (the US taxpayers) aren't going to last very long.
Hillary makes a lot more money making speeches and writing books as the former First Lady. Doing it for power, probably, but I can't see it being about the money. That goes for any candidate. There are much easier ways of making money. Way too much work for the $$ they get. It's all about the power.

Trump is no where near how much he says he's worth. Why is he so reluctant to show his tax returns? There is no way he's been audited every year for the past decade or so. I call BS!
He's not a savvy, honorable or successful businessman. He has declared bankruptcy 4 times and all of his businesses accrued an extraordinary amount of debt within the first couple of years of operation. He has also been involved in over 3,500 lawsuits! He brags about what a great negotiator he is but even for the littlest things his first response is legal action. He has his lawyers doing all of his dirty work. Every thing he has was given to him on a silver platter by his father. His father gave him a lot, especially after his death. A lot more than just the million dollar Donald got for his first investment.

For everyone who says he is a businessman, exactly how do you expect him to run a country like a business?

IMO you can't even compare the two. Trump would be catastrophic.
Honestly, you cannot even compare them. "Sneaky" versus what...completely unqualified, racist, xenophobic douchecanoe?
You really can't compare the two and I feel that it is quite insulting to Hillary to have her lumped into the same category as Trump.

The economy is a disaster??? Ummmm..............where were you just 8 years ago, right after G.W. Bush????? THAT is when the economy was a freakin' disaster. The stock market was tanking, gas prices were out of control, unemployment was at a high, and the housing market went to complete $hit and crashed like no other time in history. Just ask my upside down mortgage and depleted 401K back then!!
Pan ahead to today, stock market is doing well...........we're making money in our 401K instead of losing it all.........AND gas prices are low, the housing market has rebounded, and unemployment is at a low. How can you possibly say the the economy is a disaster?????? That makes NO sense. NOTHING was worse for our economy than G.W. Bush's run in office. Obama has done well to rebound us from that nightmare. I'd say we're on an upswing right now, more than it being a disaster!!
As for terrorism, it's ALWAYS a constant battle under ANY President. Remember the 80's and the Cold War??? Iraq in the 90's??? I'm not saying we cannot do better on our National Security front but I think a *small* part of what makes things seem much worse now is the mass hysteria that is created by the media. Terrible things are happening, but terrible things have been happening since the dawn of mankind.
To that end.................Trump and all of his macho, big mouth, bull$hit is NOT going to do ONE thing to further this country or make it better. He is flat out unqualified and ill equipped for the job at hand.

Exactly - how quickly we forget the disastrous state of the economy from 10 years ago under GWB. Obama didn't have a magic wand to fix everything that half-wit man-child had done.

EXACTLY. What GW did to this country was UNREAL!!!! For everyone who has a bone to pick with Obama, take a minute to recognize what he walked into!! GW made a MESS of everything in this country. He was probably one of our worst presidents ever. I'd say Obama did pretty okay given what he was handed as GW rode off into the sunset.

I just read that in my head in Trump's voice, *shudder*.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure that facts state otherwise.
John Oliver just did a piece on something like this. He had facts to support this. He used a snippet with Newt Gingrich and about how people use "feelings" to say they are facts. They aren't.

And for those who think Hillary is shady and slick, Donald's campaign has said that he will NOT be releasing his tax returns. Period. Making him the first candidate in over 40 years to not release them.
And he may be under audit, but Nixon released his returns in the same situation. So yeah, Donald has nothing to hide.

You guys have to live in a world of communism like my family did. Everything that happened in Cuba in the 50's is happening here. Open up your eyes.
My eyes are wide open. Are yours?
Trump is a fascist... like Hitler. HITLER!!! He has studied Hitler and he's rising to power in the SAME FREAKING WAY Hitler did, by capitalizing on our ignorance and fear. Trying to 'unite' us by a common enemy. He's a weak minded bully like Hitler was. He's talking about taking some of the exact same actions that Hitler took when he acquired rule over Germany that will increase his power and subvert checks and balances. I truly fear he will DESTROY this country.
We'll never be a communist country, and adopting a few socialist benefits so that we can actually take care of all of our citizens instead of letting them die in the street is a good thing. I find it astounding how a country with such a strong Christian base is loathe to take care of the poor and sick. If we returned to the tax rates of Nixon we'd be in better shape, but then the wealthy would have to pay their fare share, and why should they when we can demonize the poor instead?

We are living in scary times, for sure. But I do remember the 80s- maybe many of you who are younger don't remember but those of us who were teens/young adults remember Leon Klinghoffer, the Pan Am flight that blew up over Scotland, the attacks on the airports in Rome & Vienna, and those are just what I remember off the top of my head. And I thought about nuclear war way more than a middle schooler should have- our relations with the USSR were scary.
Trump is going to alienate our allies & create more debt. And his inflammatory remarks are going to help terrorists recruit IMO.
I think Americans who can purchase military-grade guns are a bigger threat to us than jihadists.

I really do believe the Russians had a hand in this and want Trump to win. It's no coincidence that these emails were leaked right before the DNC.
I really hope Bernie's supporters will vote for Hillary because having Trump win will be more detrimental in every possible way for a long time than having the Dems playing favorites. I hope people will be able to separate the two.
And having sneaky, slick Hillary isnt detrimental???
IMO you can't even compare the two. Trump would be catastrophic.
Honestly, you cannot even compare them. "Sneaky" versus what...completely unqualified, racist, xenophobic douchecanoe?
You really can't compare the two and I feel that it is quite insulting to Hillary to have her lumped into the same category as Trump.
Is she perfect? No. But she has dedicated most of her life to public service and she actually wants to improve people's lives. Trump is in it only for himself. His lack of or should I say, non-existent philanthropy as a billionaire is absolutely shameful and speaks volumes. He doesn't care about anyone but himself.
Funny, I feel like Hillary is the one doing this for the $$$$$.
The Clintons are all about getting money somehow. Their speaking engagements, kickbacks from companies, etc. Trump is the one with $$$$$. He doesn't need a dime. Why would he put himself on the line? Oh, I know why? Because ssshit is real bad now and he is doing what he said he would do 30 years ago in aninterview- run for President in because things are bad.
Am I the only one who doesn't think "shit is real bad now?"
Then you are blind.
Taxes have skyrocketed. Healthcare is a mess. National security is a joke. Jihad is happening right before our eyes. The economy is a disaster. We owe china billions. They will probably own our asssss before we know it. Things aren't bad now? Alrighty then...... Believe what you want. We will never agree, let's just leave it at that.
Can you elaborate on your claims or is it just anecdotal?
Of course you would need an explanation....
In the last 8 years: -I lost my job. -My health insurance went from 8 bucks a week for a PPO plan to 350 a month for a family plan. -Taxes on my checks from 2008 were WAY less than they are now. -I went to the emergency room when Bush was President- my bill was 25 bucks. Now, hubby went to the ER in Feb and I had a baby in March and we have over 2K in out of pocket medical bills. -More shootings. -More terrorist attacks globally. -The deficit is WAY more now because our POTUS wastes money on countless experiements that I could give two shittts about. -Our debt to China is way more. -With the temporary skilled workers visa that Obama worked hard to grant has forced many high paying skilled workers in my company to the umemployment line so a bunch of foreigners could be employed. That's MESSED up.
I could go on and on. But you keep on drinking that liberal koolaid, alright?
