Favorite park on Long Island?
I know it's not technically a park, but i went t Avalon nature preserve for the first time today and I was amazed at how beautiful it was. I grew up by Eisenhower, and I just find it to be so developed.
What are your favorite parks on Long Island for walks/hiking?

I love stepping stone in great neck. It's really tiny but right on the water and beautifully landscaped. I also love wantagh park bc we went there all the time as kids. I love the cool breeze as you walk by the water. I guess I'm a true island person loving to be near the water!

Favorite park on Long Island?
Hecksher in East Islip, the Bayard Cutting Arboretum, Connetquot State Park, and Sweetbriar Nature Preserve are a few favorites. Gardiner's Park is a nice walk to the beach also.

Quogue Wildlife Refuge out east. By far my favorite park to walk/hike. So much scenery.

We love Quogue Wildlife too. Also the Elizabeth Morton Wildlife Refuge in Noyac.
