please tell me ifI'm wrong ???
On Monday, I dropped off a dress to the local dry cleaner to get hemmed for a wedding this Saturday (I'm the MOH )
I went to pick it up today and the first thing the woman tells me is that its STAINED!
This is a BRAND new dress. I took it out of the plastic to try it on at home and then I brought it to the tailor.
She said that I stained it! She refused to take any responsibility for it. We had a screaming match which resulted in her offering to have it dry cleaned. I agreed and was told to come back in 3 hours.
The stains are out. she said it was coffee stains. thast funny considering I DONT DRINK COFFEE!!!
i tried it on. everything was great. she goes to charge me $35!! i notice a price list on the wall hemming $10-20 maximum. I asked her how much hemming was , she said $30. i pointed to the sign. she goes " we dont go by sign!!" i said " it is in your best interest to accept $20 " i handed it to her and walked out. as i walked out she yelled " i never want to see you again!" i turned around got in her face calmly looked her in the eyes and said, " you wont. you will be out of business withing the next 6 months. "
I paid her for the hemming according to the price list. She was charging me $10 more! ( 30 for hem and 5$ to get the wrinkles out). I was being fair, right???

Yep absolutely.
That is crazy!
And seems to me like she was trying to underhandedly charge you for the dry cleaning.

Its bullsh*t she charged you at all! Someone there obviously spilled their coffee and she blames YOU. Um fukk that.

i deal with the public EVERY SINGLE DAY. i always bend for what the customer wants/needs.
she was completely wrong in every step along the way.

that's just crazy. You were completely right and she was completely in the wrong, they completely effed the dress in the first place, no bash them all over social media

This happened to me once. I dropped off a jumpsuit to have he pockets stitched shut. And it was returned to me with out the sash. Brand new never work and I gave them the item in full. No responsibility and got nasty w me. I also had a fight and left a bad yelp review.

Wow, so they spilled coffee on your dress and then tried to charge you for cleaning it?! What an asshole. You should put them on blast on social media, leave them a bad review on yelp, and file a complaint against the store.
