talk to me about ear plugs
i'm trying to save a relationship
SO has tinnitus and has to sleep with some kind of noise. i CAN'T STAND sleeping with noise. it's killing me. i end up travelling to the couch.
i'd like for both of us to sleep all night in the same bed. the only way that's going to happen is if i wear ear plugs.
can you recommend a brand/type?
thanks.

I use the "pink" ones that are usually Walgreen's brand. They are made for women and I find they are the most comfortable.
They are basically the Walgreen's version of these: http://www.drugstore.com/hearos-sleep-pretty-in-pink-by-hearos-womens-silky-soft-ear-plugs/qxp552807?catid=183126
I know what you are going through!!!

Re: talk to me about ear plugs
Nothing works!! I swear - I think I've tried them all
My issue is DHs snoring.
The only way to stay in the same bed is to fall asleep first. That's it. Other than that, I get the best nights sleep in my guest room lol

I've never found any comfortable. I think you'll get used to the noise.

Pretty much this. Even if I do fall asleep first, I wind up waking up from his snoring and going into the guest room - EVERY.SINGLE.NIGHT! No wonder I'm always so tired!
A while ago, someone on here recommended these Macks. They worked better than any other ones for me, but all earplugs make my ears really itchy, so I can't use any of them for more than a day or two at a time

This is true I wake a few times a night because of his snoring When I have a full day ahead, I just sleep in the guest-room. I won't even attempt being in bed with him
We laugh at how we kiss goodnight at the top of the stairs and go to opposite sides of the house lol

That is the worst! The only ones that ever worked for me were the disposable wax ones.

Re: talk to me about ear plugs
My husband is a horrible snorer and I am an amazingly light sleeper. This has saved our marriage.

Re: talk to me about ear plugs
These are the only ones that I can use and that actually work... They are sooooo worth it. I used to buy them at CVS but couldn't find them any longer so I purchased like 500 on Amazon!!!!

Exactly the same for me. Except he sleeps in the living room and I sleep in my bed.

I use the "blue" Ones that I could only find in cvs. But I just bought the green ones posted above. They block 31 db! The blue ones atmre Only 30.
I also have a "snore" pillow. When he is bad I cover my head with a pillow as well as sleeping with the earplugs.

Re: talk to me about ear plugs
DH snores, and I usually stumble to the couch in the middle of the night haha BUT - my fix is a white noise app on my phone haha so that won't work for you...
BUT - can SO sleep with headphones playing the white noise so it doesn't disturb you?
