Anyone been to it? I've heard bits and pieces and read a little about it online which got me interested. DH got us tickets as my mother's day gift.

Tell me about it without any spoilers please

Went and everyOne in the group loved it!! It is outside of the box though so you have to be ready for that and a lot of walking/running. It's what you make of it.

Re: Sleep no more

Amazing! Went twice.

My advice is to follow around 1 specific character.

ETA: I don't want to give anything away. But do you know what it's based on? I find that info extremely helpful for following along with what you're actually seeing. Makes it more enjoyable and less confusing.

Also, I would recommend that everyone in your group follows someone different. That way at the end you can all piece together what you saw

It's based on Macbeth right? I heard it repeats every hour so should I follow a different character each time?

Wear comfortable shoes and don't stay with your husband. Do your own thing. I explored in my own and did not follow a specific character. Also don't be a sheep and follow the crowd either. Nobody else there knows what they're doing either so following strangers is pointless. Open drawers, touch things, eat things, get in the moment. It's safe.

What is this? I tried googling but I don't understand it. Are you solving puzzles or something?

Yes.

I personally enjoyed following Macbeth and lady Macbeth. Although there were some fringe characters who were awesome too. But honestly, for your first time, I'd try to follow a main character. The first time I went, I followed a fringe character who kind of dead-ends and I felt like I wasted a lot of time.

It depends on your entry time (how many times it repeats). We had the earliest time slot and were able to see it more than I think we should have...? I believe each cycle is more than an hour, but maybe I'm wrong. But you'll know when it is ending as everyone is sort of corralled into the same place.

Definitely look at papers and take in the sets. They are incredible.

Anyone who hasn't seen this yet should seriously go. There's nothing like it.

Eta: it doesn't hurt to reread the gist of Macbeth. Chat Icon

No. It's more of an experiential theater. You're IN it and going through it with the characters.

Re: Sleep no more

omg thanks for posting! My best friend went to this years ago and kept raving about it but I could never remember the name of it! He LOVED it!

ETA: He said the same play keeps repeating itself over and over - it's set throughout a house so you go into a different room everytime it restarts to see a different portion of the story.

Not at all. Instead of being in the audience, watching a play on stage, you're walking around the stage and following the various characters.
