North shore spot with a view?
I have family coming to visit who have never been here before. When I asked if there was anything they wanted to see they said they were interested in seeing the view from the North shore? Where can we go that we can spend a little time and see a view? Any ideas of a nice park/place to visit for a few hours? Thank you!!

Sunken Meadow and Oyster Bay were the first two I thought of. Kontakosta Winery in Greenport also has a beautiful view but no beach access.

I don't know what time of year you're thinking about, but we did a sunset cruise in Greenport last summer and it was beautiful.

Oyster bay- beach, museums, adorable town. Cold Spring Harbor is only 10 minutes away as well and has a quaint town.

West shore road between oyster bay and Bayville. You could also turn onto cleft to see some nice houses. In oyster bay the teddy Roosevelt house, canterberry ales and the restaurant next door are good places to eat. The beaches in Bayville are nice to go to.

Re: North shore spot with a view?
You can do Sagamore Hill in Oyster Bay, then drive across West Shore Road to Bayville and eat at Walls Wharf. Beautiful views.

Are they up for a hike? The Greenbelt trail in Cold Spring Harbor is beautiful. You can take in the same views from the Cold Spring Harbor library, too.

I work in Oyster Bay...and really, there's very little to do here. Sagamore Hill and a park. I'd recommend Port Jeff.

Port Jefferson? Nice town and you could even take the ferry to Connecticut and back, just for fun..

We love Morgan Square Park in Glen Cove. You can bring food and picnic. I believe it is for residents only, but before Memorial Day you should be able to get in without an issue! It's gorgeous!
