If you RSVP No to a wedding
How much do you send as a gift? Same amount as if you had attended the wedding, or less? And when do you send the gift? Not sure if I should send it with the RSVP, or if I should wait til it gets closer to the wedding, which is 3 months away.
Its my cousin's wedding, out of state, and kids aren't invited, which is why I can't go, bc I have a 3 yo and a newborn, and don't feel comfortable leaving them with anyone for overnight.

If you RSVP No to a wedding
Can you go and bring your inlaws or your sitter to stay with the kids in the hotel during the wedding?

If you RSVP No to a wedding
I send less than if I'd attended, in the past I've sent $100. I didn't send it with RSVP, I send a wedding card a little closer to the wedding date.

If you RSVP No to a wedding
If I couldn't attend the wedding, I'd usually give $100 before the wedding but that's cause I forget everything so I prefer sending the money before it slips out my mind. But since it's ur cousin getting married, I'd send a bit more, maybe $150?

If you RSVP No to a wedding
I normally give $300 if I attend, but it not attending I give something from the registry or $100-150. I usually send it like 2-3 weeks before the wedding.

Re: If you RSVP No to a wedding
i would probably give what I normally give or give what I give for one person attending a wedding which is $75-$100 per person.
or I would just send something of the registry. if its out of state I think its less common to give cash and more common to bring gifts.
if I was sending a check I would probably send it with the RSVP

Can anyone on your DH's side baby- sit?
I would say give $75-100 or a registry gift.

No there's no one on dhs side we would trust to watch our kids overnight. And I am exclusively breast feeding my baby, so I can't be away from him for more than an hour or 2 at most. I don't think I should have to get him used to drinking from a bottle just for one day, when I was planning on trying to avoid bottles and pumping all together.

Re: If you RSVP No to a wedding
We usually send anywhere from $50-150 depending on our relationship with the couple if we can't attend. As for when you send it, send it whenever it's convenient for you.
ETA: When we got married, not everyone who rsvp'd no sent a gift and those who did sent $50-100.

Re: If you RSVP No to a wedding
I'd base my gift on how close I am to the couple. Maybe $100-$150 and I send it with the RSVP so I don't have to think about it again.

Re: If you RSVP No to a wedding
To tell you the truth, I had no idea you were supposed to send a gift if you RSVP no to a wedding. I think only one person out of maybe 20/25 people who couldn't attend our wedding actually sent us a gift.

Re: If you RSVP No to a wedding
I wish I had invited some of you to my wedding!
IIRC I got very few gifts from people who RSVP'ed no to my wedding. And unless I'm very close with someone, if I'm not attending their wedding I don't send a monetary gift.
The MOST I would send is $50, otherwise nothing, assuming you're not especially close with them.

If you RSVP No to a wedding
One of my good friends had a destination wedding and I couldn't attend. I gave her $300 which is she gave me at my wedding. I didn't feel right about giving her less.

Depends on who it is, sometimes I'll just send a gift from the registry in the $75-100 range.

If you RSVP No to a wedding
I typically send money so I just send it when I send the RSVP back. Normally $100, I would give more if it was someone we are close with but for us that hasn't happen yet.

Re: If you RSVP No to a wedding
The same thing happened to us recently... his cousin got married in PA & we didn't go but we sent either $75 or $100 check (I can't remember what we decided) and I bought them a wedding card & mailed it to them when they got back from their honeymoon (I meant to mail it so they'd receive it around the time of the wedding but I forgot, so I just sent it the following week)
