cell phones... there HAS TO BE something cheaper

we spend way too much money on our cell phones.

we use verizon and spend about $250/month for 3 phones.

what company are you with and how much do you spend/month?

i'm about ready to get rid of everything and go back to a flip phone.

I have Straight Talk that runs on Verizon (different phone models run off different towers...t-mobile, verizon and at&t are the choices). I pay $45 a month unlimited and have a Samsung Galaxy. I've had it for about 7 years and no issues at all

I've read Boost mobile is good also

$30 a month boost mobile unlimited talk text and data. The only thing is you have to buy the phones they don't give you any kind of deal on the phones so if you are the person who loves to have the latest iPhone it's probably not for you. If you don't mind buying a Samsung that's a year behind then you should be good

I think so, check out the site. I know you can bring your own iphone, so I'm sure you can bring a verizon.

We pay $300/month and had to boost it to 20gb as we kept going over.

When they say unlimited, is there an amount of data they allow you though?

Chat Icon do you know what the data overage is from? That sounds like so much.

I know Straight Talk is unlimited with no limit, but you get up to 5gb at high speed, then beyond that is 2G. I think there is a newer plan that is 10gb at high speed. I get my card billed every month and have no idea if I reach 5gb to be honest. I don't live on my phone though, and when I use it at home I'm on wifi

We use Virgin Mobile and pay $35 a month on iPhones. The only downside is having to pay for the phone but they usually have a promo. If you don't need/want a new phone every year it is a great deal. I just can't justify the insane prices of verizon or any other carrier.

Chat Icon OMG! We have two phones shared plan and share 10GB. its tough bc i dont have wifi at work, so i use a lot of data (I can't go on the internet on my computer at work)

normally - with the unlimited, they give you x amount at a high speed and the rest is a slower speed.

do you notice the service is just as good as regular Verizon? we have Vz, and i am trying to get DH to switch to Sprint to their unlimited plan so we don't have to worry about data (it would cost us the same) but he keeps saying the sprint service isn't as good. I feel like over the years all the carriers have improved and are pretty similar in service.

but if this is offered on a verizon tower, i might be able to sway him hahah

Yeah.. 20gb seems like a lot!

I would look into who uses the most data and see if something is continuously running.

Do you hook into your wifi at home when you're on your cell phone?

Re: cell phones... there HAS TO BE something cheaper

You need a mobile share plan from a carrier. T-Mobile has a decent deal for a few lines.

Yes, my teen lol. We were paying so much in data charges as they charge $15 extra and we were up to 3-4 GB's per month.

It was actually cheaper to do it this way as we were getting overages every single month.

It is my teen and yes, they use the wifi at home but it away from home.
