Birth Certificate
I gave birth at Winthrop on 3/30. We filled out the paperwork for the hospital to submit for the birth certificate and social security number. Anyone have a recent experience with how long it takes to receive the birth certificate in the mail? We need it so that we can change our medical insurance. Thanks.

Re: Birth Certificate
Its not that recent but it was the same experience for dd who is 4 and ds who is almost 2. It took about a month for both the birth certificate and the social security card, maybe a little less for the birth certificate. We called the insurance company while I was in the hospital and it wasn't a problem. We just submitted the paperwork when it came in.

Re: Birth Certificate
I gave birth to both my kids at Winthrop.. it did take a while so both times I had to call the Village of Mineola Registrar to expedite the process so I could get it in time for insurance purposes.
