Best aquarium
We are not having a party for DS's 7th birthday this year. We figured instead we'll do something fun. When I asked DS he said he really wants to go to an aquarium for the day.
Any suggestions? We live in central NJ. WE have done the aquarium in Queens. Was thinking Camden, NJ. I know not the best area, but heard good things about the aquarium there.
Any other ideas? Want to have a fun experience.

Best aquarium
Is Mystic, CT too far for you? One of my friends just went to the aquarium there with her DS and they LOVED it.

Camden was good. Norwalk was good.
Obviously a lot farther and an overnight trip but Baltimore was the best

Camden has a nice aquarium. What about the sculpture gardens in Hamilton? You can walk around and check it out and then have lunch there

National Aquarium in Baltimore. Could be done in a very long day.

The Camden aquarium is excellent. It has hippos and is a lot of fun. The area around the aquarium has been revitalized, but I'd still only go there during the day.

Agree! We really liked it. I wouldn't do a walking tour of Camden but we felt completely safe at the acquarium. Plenty of close parking

We love Adventure Aquarium in Camden. In my opinion, it is the best interactive children's aquarium. Multiple places to touch, feed and play.
My boys are obsessed with sea creatures so we go to both the Baltimore and Camden ones often and we like the Camden one better (for kids). We liked it so much that we got a season pass last year and we live 2.5 hrs away.
