Formal dresses that aren't Bridesmaid gowns?
Does anyone know of a good place to get a formal long gown that isn't a bridesmaid dress? I'm the MOH in my brother in law's wedding and the bride told me I could choose my own long black dress. I'm just not sure where to look. I'm in Ronkonkoma so somewhere relatively close to there would be great, but I'm willing to travel a little if there is a good place. TIA!

Macy's, sometimes Marshalls or tj maxx will have.

My mother had found her gown at Estelle's in Farmingdale. A little bit of a drive, but they do usually have a good selection.

Lord & Taylor or Nordstroms (although Nordtroms have a much larger selection online than in the store)

I've done well at Bloomingdales and believe it or not Cache in the mall.

L&T, Nordstrom or Saks? Im afraid if you go to Estelle's, a guest could have a similar dress. Runway Couture in Bellmore, too.

BCBG has great dresses, especially if you can find an outlet nearby. I know there is one by Atlantic City but not sure about LI.
Any big department store: Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Lord and Taylor

What?! I loved that store. I didn't get to shop too often, but it was always good.
My mom bought her mother of the bride dress at Totally You. They had a really nice selection and hers was very inexpensive.
