i'm human... sometimes, the very small and petty things make me giggle with glee

i shared with you guys that the office manager is recently engaged and she's hiding it from me.

the older salesman is going around calling her a "bride," but she continues to sit on her left hand when i walk into the room.

well, whenever ANYONE comes to the door (mailman, ups, fedex, or anyone else for that matter), she jumps out of her chair and just about races to open the door. mind you, i'm about 10x closer to the door than she is. ok, whatever.

a few minutes ago, the sexy UPS driver came to our door. she opened the door and put out her hand to take the box from him. HE WALKED RIGHT BY HER and came over to my desk!!
he has even memorized my name and types it into that hand held little machine you sign.

the look on her face was priceless.

yes, shame on me for finding a bit of joy in that exchange

Question: Have you just asked her? I think its perfectly fine for you to say "Hey, I hear the sales person say "bride" and I think I saw an e-ring? If so what WONDERFUL news.

Rather it be out in the open than keep playing her silly game. NOT that you are playing...just her being silly.

think of it as a blessing. the fact that she wants to hide it from you means you wont be invited to any celebration. take that money you would have spent on her and go for a nice relaxing spa day.


maybe she really isnt engaged? or is wearing a fake diamond and is afraid u will notice?

are there any other women in the office or just you two?

See, I wouldn't acknowledge her engagement at all, just because it makes her so weird in the office.
It's funny seeing people try to hide something so obvious.
