Friday Complaints!

Any annoyance or pet peeves to share today?

I will go first.

Whyyyy? Why is the AC blasting in this office when it's like 12 degrees outside?
I really don't get it.
I have a small (illegal) heater on my desk but it's tiny so as to be discreet and low voltage too so it's not cutting it
My back is freezing, my hands are cold.
Everyone is walking around with coats , scarves and gloves on. Blankets and wraps as well.
I can feel the air blowing out of the vents, pumping out. My tissues in the box on my desk are moving in the breeze.

Why on God's Green Earth would you have AC on in February when it's freezing out?

I feel like this has to be some kind of violation. Like if the heat stopped working in the building they'd have to send us home. But it's ok to not only have no heat, but AC blasting?
Come on!

That is ridiculous! Is there building maintenance or someone who can fix it?!?!?! I had that going on in my office for one day and I was miserable. I'd get out the full size space heater and tell them you'll put it away when they decide to provide some heat!

My assistant is asking the wrong people for things and the wrong information meanwhile I wrote her an email on Tuesday WHO to ask and WHAT to ask for.
And…why can’t people troubleshoot thru a problem….try and use your brain and figure it out!

We just moved in here recently and the whole place(including when the lights go on and off ) is controlled by some building management system. We can't even control our own thermostats. And there is like only one person who even has contact info for this building management system (I guess because they don't want 50 calls a day from people complaining about being too hot or cold)

And when they give us heat, it ends up pouring out and the office hits 85 degrees. Add to that, that the other side of the suite is always warmer, and b1tching they are too hot, and it's a mess.

But I am totally bringing in my LARGE heater on Monday and to hell with their rules. I"m not working under these conditions anymore.

My complaint is that today is the longest day ever. I just want to go home.

I can relate to the cold office. We had our boss increase the temp so the heat would kick on.

And my pet peeve of the day is we had our kickoff at Leonards last night. Party started at 6. We left early at 9:45 bc DH had to be up at 4:45 to be at work by 5:30.

The big boss told our manager to have us, the staff come in later. But our manager said no that we had to be here at 8:30.

I am pooped and my eyes are closing at the office. It's terrible.

Yes I know this is winter in NY. But this weather still SUCKS!

I hate..the heavy coat, the hat, the boots, the gloves, the layers...
Just to sweat your a s s off when you walk inside someplace.

I'm on board with the cold office too! I have a space heater as well and its my lifesaver these days.

Also- I'm officially at that point in my pregnancy where my clothes are too small but the few maternity things I've gotten are too big. Currently I have the hair tie trick going on but I'm so incredibly uncomfortable I think I may just deal with the maternity clothes being too big lol

I got Starbucks to give me a free coffee because my earned free coffee expired.

I then proceeded to spill the coffee ALL OVER the counter at Chase.

Not only did I make a crap of a mess, but I WANTED that coffee.

It's hot at my desk, so I have my fan on. Thinking about getting an ice coffee.

My complaint : I've been back in the office for two weeks after being out for 4 months.
All I have been doing is fixing massive mistakes that the "golden boy" made while I was out. That's because my managers did not want to hire a temp, they felt that the boy could take care of things.
NOT ! He can't walk and talk at the same time.

It's yearly review time, hope they remember all the $hit he did and what I did to fix it.

I probably ruined my camera phone, which was horrible already. I have always thought my phone looked like it had a plastic film over the flash and sensor area. I got so sick of blurry pics, I googled and saw others online had a plastic piece there that was difficult to remove. So, I attacked the "film" and the area is now scratched up, but I couldn't remove anything...

Friday Complaints!

My building never had working heat so we all bundled up and had to work through it. Now we got the heart fixed and it's set at 75, I'm dying! I rather have it not work again.

I dunno, but I'm kind of jealous that you have A/C. I'm just thinking ahead to summer when there is no A/C .

I don't have to go to my office much for the next two months, but it is cold when I go in. I share an office with another colleague and she is always complaining that we have a building "built after the war (WW2)." My office is on a block that was heavily bombed/destroyed because of political reasons. The buildings built after were of poor quality, insulation wise.

Yeah, I'm jealous of your A/C! At least you have that option.

ETA: Nothing much to complain about. My cats have had a bacterial infection that keeps getting passed around and I'm tired of pilling them. The next step is bringing them to the vet 2x a day for injections.
