anyone following the Flint MI water issues?
amazing how in this country people first go without water for months due to money, then they have high lead levels and cant drink the water.

I've been following it, and I hear about it from family members who live about an hour from there. Horrible. Absolutely horrible!

the no water to drink started over a year ago, they shut the water off but in a different town.

That's right this story has been going on for a while. I'm surprised no one posted about it before. One of the most disturbing situations I have heard and sad that it's in America.

It saddens me, but apparently there are much worse water situations in NEw Jersey. With that said, the horrific federal and state response to the flint situation is deplorable.

I am shocked that there is not more outrage on this issue. I would have thought celebrities would be doing more and there would be more support from other communities. I also would have thought a drink company would be offering more to support Flint.

I think it is beyond disturbing and why this is not getting more media coverage is a mystery to me. These poor families are going to have a tough time medically and need support and clean water to drink. There are so many organizations flying all over the world to help other country who are having issues but maybe we need to start focusing on fixing things in this country first.

So horrifying. I wish they would prosecute the higher ups that had knowledge of this and did nothing. The level of apathy displayed is simply horrifying, and I cannot wrap my brain around the fact that Snyder hasn't even resigned yet. All those children and their families...
