Today was the first time DH used ours! We've only been in the house a couple of years but I wish we had it for the last couple of winters. After he finished ours, DH went to my parents a few blocks away and dug them out.

Nope.

Every year we say we're buying one, but we really don't have anywhere to store it. We don't have a garage and the shed is full.

Do you own a snow blower?

Nope. And DH wanted to buy one this year and I talked him out of it because I'm cheap.

Yes for our house it's a must since we are on a corner and have double the sidewalk to clear. We bought it when we moved in before winter started.

Do you own a snow blower?

We bought one this year. We live upstate and my DH was getting sick and tired of shoveling (by himself ever since I was pregnant with our DS in 2014). So far this year, we've only gotten 5 inches of snow.

Yes, but only since we moved OOS. And it took us a winter with 80 inches of snow to bite the bullet hahah

No, but we need one. DH is being cheap about it but I'm getting one at the end of the season. Granted, he does all the shoveling but I feel bad that his back always hurts when he's done. It will be for his own good!

This is our first year owning one.
I am the shoveller of the family because DH has a bad back plus he works, I don't, I feel like its part of my SAHM job. But he wanted another "toy" so now its his job to clear the snow.

This is our situation. I was out this morning but had a pain in my back so I stopped. I told him when he was done we are buying one before next winter. He hasn't gotten off the couch since he came inside. There is no reason not to buy one.

That's an outside gig. Outside gigs are his job.. I don't care how much he works. I don't shovel 3 feet of snow.

DH refuses to buy one so now he is stuck out shoveling by himself. Anyone else not own one?

I didn't realize we were married to the same man...

Every year I insist we buy one, and he rolls his eyes and tells me we don't need it. And then he spends his day off shoveling. ((sigh)) We just moved, and now we're on a corner so we have double the sidewalk! I don't understand him.

Re: Do you own a snow blower?

We don't. Dh will be buying one by next year. I was stuck at work while dh only dh shoveled our 4 car driveway. Another family member helps but not medically able to this year. He forgot and his back was hurting him. I came home from work today and he had to go home in to work today.

Do you own a snow blower?

I'm sadden by some of these post suggesting your cheap. Save a couple of bucks and invest in one. If you take care of it, it will last a long time. Granted, in the past 5 years of owning it, i didn't touch it one winter. Might of been the first. After the first two times using it, it paid it self off as I was done, felt great. We as people created tools for a reason to help. I would raise the argument over health. Look at the people who died with heart attacks from this storm alone. A friend down the road pulled muscle. Just not worth it. I rather use my back getting sore from playing with DD which is what happened as we played in the snow all day being that i was able to dig us out in under 2 hours over Saturday and Sunday. I hope this post helps as i believe this is affordable tool that will last many years.

Re: Do you own a snow blower?

We don't but every single one of our neighbors do. DH borrows it every year. I told DH that he should go out and buy one!

We used to live in Manhattan so we didn't have much stuff. I feel like we are always borrowing things from our neighbors. They all have so much stuff and been suburban homeowners for 20+ yrs.
