What to take to a 50th birthday party
DH's staff member is having a 50th birthday party tonight.
What is an appropriate gift to bring for a 50yo woman?
Not sure how much to spend either.

Where is the party?
Fhs boss turned 50 last yr and everyone chipped in and bought a coffee table book from taschen. But that won't help since you have hours.
Staff member as in physician or a secretary? If he is her boss, I'd spend at least $100. Plus flowers. A luxury brand item.

She works in the operating room. Not a physician.
DH is planning to stop by tonight. He was going to go empty handed and I told him he had to bring a gift.
Our friends and I don't give one another birthday gifts.

Thank God you stopped him lol! If you don't want to spend that much, go to Swarovski and pick out earings or a necklace and some flowers. If he goes, make sure you tell him nothing with hearts lol!
