Broadway Show for 40th and other ideas
My best friends and I will be 40 this summer. We are looking to have a fun girl's day/night in the city.
Any recommendation for a fun show to see? Doesn't have to be Broadway too. Can be fun and different.
Ideas for dinner too?
I have seen Kinky Boots, Wicked, Jersey Boys, Rock of Ages and Book of Mormon. They have seen a few of those too.
Any other shows that would be fun to see? We did the SATC Tour a while back too (boy that just ages me... LOL)

They are not into clubs or anything, but we love fun bars with good music.

I have heard On your feet is really good. And its got gloria estefan music that people know so everyone is up dancing like how mama mia was. Since its new you may be able to get good tickets.
Prohibition is a good bar on the upper west side that always has good music. mostly like 80's and 90's cover bands. You may want to reserve a table , it gets busy and its not a huge place.

Another vote for Get On Your Feet.
My mother and her friends raved about it.
Because it is a birthday and it's girls I think that's an ideal show because it is fun, upbeat, dancing, and singing, etc. For me, my fave show ever is Les Mis but it isn't exactly uplifting so for a 40th birthday with girls, I don't think that would be my first choice. So, ultimately, Get On Your Feet is the one I would suggest the most.
Also, we did the TMZ tour not that long ago and it was a lot of fun!!!
