If my schedule allowed, I could sleep 10-12 hours a night. I have always been a sleeper, ever since day one, and I relish my sleep. My mind and body go at 100 mph during my waking hours so I guess that's why I can sleep well, because I need that recharge. Anyway, I work Monday-Thursday, ten hours a day, so I am up around 5:45/6am and out the door by about 7am. So, ideally I like to be in bed by 9:30/10pm. That is usually pretty good for me. Then, on my days off I would normally sleep like 10+ hours but with my son, he's a great sleeper too, but usually up at 7am so I can't really sleep in. But it's OK, he's a great sleeper, 7pm-7am, so no complaints.

If both my kids STTN then 8 hours. DH sleeps during the day and gets 6 hours.

about 6 hours...and on weekends im wide awake, there is no sleeping in since my body is so used to waking up

6 hours if I am lucky during the week. I have to be up by 6:00 on weekdays I try to be asleep by 11:30-12:00 but lately I haven't been going to asleep till 1-2 in the morning. if we have nothing to do on the weekend my DS will let us sleep till 10/10:30 so depending when I go to bed I get 8-10 hours but the last couple of hours my DD tends to try to wake me earlier than that

Usually 5 and a half. I wake st 4am for a 5am lirr train and don't get home until 530pm or later. Between picking up my son from school, homework, dinner, etc I'm in bed late, around 1030 or 11. My days off are during the week and I probably get 7 hrs then because my son has to get up for school

Wow! I can't believe how many moms are getting 8 PLUS hours of sleep a night! I'm lucky if I get 6-7!

The hardest part of parenthood for me was losing sleep bc I was a sleeper. Now I am used to it. Even if my kids are sound asleep I haven't been able to sleep well since becoming a mom. I average 7 but it almost always is interrupted.

I sleep 9-10 hours on the weekends and 8 during the week. I am actively trying to cut back to 7 during the week because I feel I could really use that extra hour in waking life!
Lucky u! It's impossible to sleep that many hrs with a 4 months old  , I'd say I sleep approximately 5 hrs?!?

You girls who lived through the newborn stage are my idols.
Done it twice but my dh helped out a lot by doing feeding and changing until midnight and then I had the 3am and 6am feeding. I would go to sleep around 9pm.

I also have a tween and teen so that is mainly why lol.

My oldest slept through the night at 6 weeks, the youngest 10 weeks so I got lucky with that too as I went back to work at 12 weeks with both of them.

Ohhh. I remember this. I remember being so tired I started cry but I was too exhausted to even have tears come out.
I kept thinking NO ONE prepared me for this!!! I also wondered if it was possible to just die from lack of sleep.
I now understand why sleep deprivation is used as a form or torture in the military! Hang in there momma!
I remember walking down the hallway to sleep for my shift ( Dh and I would take turns staying up with DD in the living room so the other could sleep for 4 hours at a time) and crying and saying " what did we do? How did we get ourselves into this? .this is NOT what I signed up for!"
It's been 5 years and I still remember that feeling SO clearly!
We had the exact set up. I questioned my decision everyday.

it makes me soooo sad that so many moms and others get more sleep than me :(
how??? I don't have kids waking me up a million times a night.
some co-works joke and say, I should be a mom because Im up the same times babies like to be up
I am very jealous....

How many hours do you sleep per night?
About 7 hours on the weekdays and I hope for 8 on the weekends. I love sleeping and before I had my son I could sleep for 10 hours easily on the weekends and during the summer. I seriously love sleeping.

But I never sleep straight throgh. I get up a few times a night.
Same. Usually go from 10-5/530 on weekdays and 1030-6/630 on weekends but I'm up a few times a night.
