This. I graduated in 1993. 
Me too - in 1991.
I was so happy it won out over - I think - maybe Never Say Goodbye.
Junior Prom (which I didn't go to) was Billy Joel - This is the Time.

Very depressing slow song. Bah I guess if you're stoned it's good. LOL Can't recall our choice our Junior year, but it was film related.
And to the other question, yes, still have our glassware from my senior prom and my picture somewhere from both proms! haha
I had my dress made. Velvet top off the shoulder long sleeve, taffeta skirt bottom all in Emerald green.. my favorite color. Hair done up with curls. Came to the prom solo with my bestie.. left with two guys. LOL Ugly duckling I was indeed. But when I clean up, I CLEAN UP!

I'm not 1000% sure, and I usually remember these things .
It may have been " the freshman " by the verve , I vaguely remember thinking it was strange that we picked a song that is pretty sad.
My second guess would be closing time by semi sonic.

I think our actual song was a Billy Joel song. I think Wonderful Tonight was the other choice, and my pick.
I DO remember that my junior prom was Heaven by Brian Adams!

Forever Young was one of the nominees but everyone thought it was the one by Rod Stewart and didn't want that.
We actually played it at our wedding 5 years later :)

What was your prom song?
I graduated in 2000 and it was Mariah Carey's "Thank God I found you." Now you all have me thinking about the champagne glasses I got with the song name. I have no idea where it is. I have to search my mom's house.

No one has anything left remaining from their prom, like a favor or program?
I just ask as I still have the program and champagne glasses I got that has the name of the song on it.
I feel like my mom has the wine glass favors. I'm not sure we had a program. I was also doused in Baccardi 151 before I got there
