Dinner near MSG
Tomorrow night I'm going to see Billy Joel, with my two teens and husband. Any suggestions for dinner near the Garden?

Dinner near MSG
When we went to see Billy Joel last month (me DH and his 2 sons) we went to Feile, on 33rd St, just down the block from the Garden. The food was pretty good (not great, but decent pub type food). The place was packed with a lot of people going to the concert and they were playing a billy Joel concert video on the TVs.
ETA: We had a reservation - it's a must for any place near the Garden when there is a concert

But bear in mind any place near the Garden will be packed before the concert so definitely get a reservation

We ate there recently and our entire party of 4 thought it was horrible.
Most places around MSG are "meh" at best (IMHO, overpriced and underwhelming). I'd suggest deciding on what kind of food you want, google it and then choose based upon the yelp reviews.
If we are sticking close to MSG, we go to Brother Jimmy's for basic bar food (and beer).

if they serve the same food at the concert than they do at the knick games, eat at the stadium. PRIME RIB at hill country is the shiiizzzzznit!!

I really only go to the bar there, so I can't say how the food is.
Last time i ate there was like 3 years ago.

If you're looking for pub food, we ate at Stout NYC on 33rd last month when we went to Billy Joel. Decent pub food. It was crowded though, but according to their website they do take reservations.

Cafe 31 on 31st between 7th and 8th....right by the side entrance of the garden. Get the crab cake appetizer!
