NYE Party No RSVP's

It is only 3 days away and still have about 15 people who have not responded if they are coming. I don't get why people can't just say yes or no. How do you not know by now? Then they just decide to show up that day.

I just find this so rude as the host needs to get food, drinks and other things for the party.

I have decided to buy enough for the people who said yes and that is all I am providing. Lol

Re: NYE Party No RSVP's

Why don't you send out a reminder email stating that you want to have enough so need an accurate head count for planning purposes. It's a busy time of year and sometimes people need reminding! I don't think there is any thing wrong with providing that reminder :)

I did 2 days ago and then today and got one response.
I am not going to bug anymore as the holidays are over and these people are on facebook everyday so they see the tags.

I feel like people these days do not actually understand what RSVP means. I would be calling them out individually on their pages. "Hi Susie!! I would really appreciate it if you would RSVP to my party so I can make sure I have enough food/alcohol/toilet paper/Advil for my party. Thanks!!"

People are asshats, plain and simple.

Text them individually. They will be more likely to answer. No group texting!

Yep I have sent private messages at other times. It is so ridiculous that you have to literally call people out. Sometimes these people do come so that is why I invite them every year. It is a pain chasing people though just so you don't under or over buy food and drinks.

Unbelievable. So rude. I think people want to see how many invites they get and then choose. I always just say yes to the first invite as I find it rude to wait and leave people hanging.

I have tagged them so they get it and can personally message me back if they don't want everyone to see. In he past I have privately messaged people and they still not answer.

Re: NYE Party No RSVP's

Had to finally private message 5 people who just never responded.
The best response was that "I have a few options" and not sure which one I am going to. SMH. Can you be anymore rude? Lol

That's annoying, it makes me feel like they are waiting for something else to come along and then they'll decide. I would just individually text them and tell them you need a decision so you know how much food and drinks you need to buy.

Yep that is exactly what my dh said to say lol (and it is HIS family lol).
I just took their name off my list as well as the other 2 that did not respond at all.
Hope they don't go and look to see what time it starts if they choose my party over someone else's lol.

Re: NYE Party No RSVP's

I wouldn't only get the amount of food for the number of people who responded, because ultimately if more people show up, everyone gets screwed. It's not fair to the other guests. I'd message people individually and take it from there,

I hate shopping on NYE so I try and do it ahead of time. Glad I didn't go crazy as I had to chase these people down.
