Tips for traveling with a 2yo?
We're going to NM in 2 weeks for my grandmother's 90th birthday. It's an 8 hour flight both ways.
Any tips or tricks? We paid for a seat for DS and are going to use his carseat. We have an (old) iPad, maybe thinking of getting a new tablet for him? I will bring toys, snacks, etc...but anything else you can think of to keep him calm and happy (without resorting to booze LOL) ?
Thanks!

My 2 year old likes to watch shows on the iPad with headphones...I bought kid sized ones that fit her perfectly.
I also made sure to have a change of clothes for everyone...full set for the kids and a shirt for me and my dh...I read that tip somewhere and have had to use it!

I travelled w/ my 16 mo last month and what helped us was the iPad (DL shows in advance if your flight has no wifi), snacks snacks snacks!, activity books/crayons and his blanket since he needs it for naps. Good Luck!

IPad is a must preloaded with shows. I always hit the dollar store and pick up new coloring books and toys that dd hasn't seen before. Snacks galone. Bring the favorite cup and blanket.
