I got two really random gifts today.

Woke up this morning to a package from "Bison Lake Trading Company" and in it was a pair of size 5 red glitter slipper socks. The package was clearly addressed to me.

I do not wear a size 5 (8 actually) and I'm not really a big Wizard of Oz fan so I really have no use for ruby slipper socks.

Then when I got to work I had a bag from the owner of the company but inside was a "Gift Headquarters Redemption Certificate" from my secondary boss. Cool, now I get to pick my own present from a junky catalog. So I don't even know who to thank

I'm kinda more perplexed about my secondary boss' gift because I put SO much thought into picking a really great gift that she keeps raving about and she seems like the kind of person who would reciprocate a thoughtful gift as opposed to something so canned as a "pick your own gift" thing.

Ahhh, Christmas!

The socks was prob a shipping mistake. I got a free purse and wallet from. Mistake through Amazon. HAve no idea who it was supposed to be for and it was the ugliest thing on earth Lol

Not recently, but I also got a mystery package from Amazon. It was a pair of those stiletto-type stripper shoes. The acrylic clear ones. Not my size. Lol!!!

My SIL got a free pair of Ray Ban sunglasses due to a shipping mistake a few weeks ago. I Wish I got mistakes like that

i think festivus needs to include the complaining about random, sub-par, crappy gifts people receive.

so far, i have yet to report a crappy gift, but the holiday season is still young lol

I had to come find this thread because I just got THE MOST RANDOM GIFT- but in a GOOD way!

I am about to leave work- we are closing at 1 pm today and the woman who distributes mail walks in and hands me a card addressed to me.

The return address was of some vendor- who I never use and never have contact with. I recognized the name vaguely because they send me some spam type email here and there- but I never use them. EVER.
Nor have I ever spoken to them

Anyway, sometimes vendors send cards so I just open it and it's a nice thick card, preprinted with some stuff about thanking us for their successful year- standard stuff.
There is also a hand written post it note - with my name on it, wishing me and my family a happy a holiday. I'm about to close the card, and out falls a little gift card envelope. WITH $100 VISA DEBIT CARD IN IT. The to line said my name- the from line the name of the guy who sends the spam like emails.

I was floored. I sat there staring at it for like 5 minutes totally confused. WHAT? WHO? WHY?

But hey, it's addressed to me and personally handwritten and all so I guess- MERRY CHRISTMAS To me!

I had the last two days off from work, so when I walked in to my office I found three surprises.

1) my office looked ransacked bc it seems they painted, in doing so, they took my office apart and left me a mess :(

2) found a large gift bag on my chair loaded with a mix of gifts from a co-worker who I at times clash with.

3) under the mess of stuff left on my desk from the painters I find a small gift sack, and inside is a small, not sure how to describe it, jewelry holder, very nice. This from the Sr worker who, I also feel like I clash with at times.

The only two people in the office I feel like I don't always get along with, by way of difference of opinions when it comes to pt care etc, are the two who left me gifts.

My director said we were not exchanging gifts this year so I didn't buy for anyone.
