I don't know what a nabi is but an iPad has a million toddler friendly apps that the toddler can grow with since the iPad is "timeless" IMO just get an otter box so it doesn't break

I don't know much about the nabi either but we tend to not go for the kid version of things. I feel like they don't last as long and work as well. Personally I'd spend the money for an Ipad that will last and can grow with them. We bought dd (5) and ipad for her bday and it's great. For dd2 (21/2) we are getting her the kindle fire. We are hoping it's great and works just as well.

i would go for the iPad or kindle fire.
we have both and they are both fantastic. the kindle is more of a toss around... different apps on different devices

We have both, the nabi is a little less user friendly for someone her age right now. (She'll be 3 in Feb) I think when she gets older it will be better for her to have something that has a lot of stuff for her rather than the ipad which she only uses to watch movies on. Id like my ipad back lol

My DS is a little older.
IMO, I would invest in an iPad. My DS had an original one from about 3 on (he doesn't use it because he prefers his Ipod touch now). I know the Nabi is supposed to be good, but I feel like kids will out grow them

we just got our kids the fire tablet (it was on sale for $35, but i believe original price is only $50). So far, DD loves it (she will be 3 in February). She loves using our ipad...but i couldnt justify the expense for her at that age. The apps are limited but shes into youtube and stuff which she can do through the internet

Our daughter has had an I pad mini since 3. We originally bought the Nabi but she hated it since she already knew how to work my ipad so we went back and got her the ipad mini. So many great learning apps. I m so happy we went with it.

I agree. We actually have all 3. DD NEVER played with the Nabi.
I would go with the Ipad Mini or the Kindle Fire. Can't go wrong with either.

Save the money and go with Kindle Fire. for what they are using, its not worth the price of an iPad just to have an apple name. Many of the same apps you use are offered on Amazon. I like a regular android tablet as i can still get amazon store and you have a much bigger, google play store.
DD grew up at age 3 with Samsung Galaxy Tab 7" and its one of the best educational, best games system she has had.

iPad mini Vs Nabi
We have the Nabi, it has been great. My only issue is space, there is not enough, and I can't figure out how to use an SD card with it. My DD got it at 2, now she's 4, so I tink it's time for her to upgrade to a better one.

We have both. We got the Nabi for my DS for his first birthday. He loves it. He uses the iPad mostly for you tube.
