PSEG - do you do balanced or..?
Do you do balanced billing or no?
If you do balanced, were you over or under this year? I received a small credit.
I still feel I pay so much! I try hard to conserve where I can. I'm contemplating going off balanced.

Balanced. My power fluctuates from $300 to $800 a month. I would die if I didn't.

Wow! What makes it fluctuate that much?
I have a large house with Central AC. The power goes up in summer.

Do you ever feel they are kind of shady about things? Or do you just purely want to pay for actual usage? Sometimes I wonder. But I'm probably paranoid

I do balanced. I think I'll have a credit but my monthly amount has changed 3 times this year. I switched to balanced because I hated paying the estimated months. The estimatex usage was always way higher than the actual.

Balanced and it usually goes up for 2 months and then back down so they make it look like it went way down. I usually just budget the same unless it truly goes much lower which sometimes it does.

For PSEG I don't see how they can be shady. I look at how many KWH I used and my bill should be based off that. I just like paying for actual usage.
Same goes for the oil bill, ill pay when I get deliveries. If anything I am more diligent because I will look at every bill and make sure they aren't screwing me on the delivery rate / gal.
I also don't escrow taxes.

Same here. I found that when they offered the balanced it came out in their favor and I had little control over everything.

I don't do balanced billing I rather just pay what I owe. I would hate at the end of the year to have a chance of owing them more money.

Same for us. I set up my own balanced billing system. I look at annual costs for utilities and keep an escrow account within my bank account for utility expenses so when higher in summer etc. I cover.

Mine goes up in July and August and get my new bill in September. It is not much, maybe $20/month and then usually goes back to the same amount or this time it went lower.
My bill is highest in December.
