a friend told me I was awesome yesterday!! ( i never think of myself in that light)
Today, I had dinner with a friend, she tells me, I"m super smart and was always a great student, AND she surprised me by treating me to dinner for my B-day
your turn!!!

I've had a rough few days and tonight I came home and my DH had cooked an awesome dinner for us. I do all of the cooking so it was really nice to have a night off from it!
Oh also - I got carded for beer today. And not the "ah, we just need your ID" carded...for real carded. This happens to me every once in awhile and it effing rocks.

My 20 year reunion is Saturday and I was saying something about how I've gained a lot of weight since high school. My older DS said I was perfect the way I am.

The woman behind the counter at Pinkberry said that when she is pregnant someday, she wants to look like I do. It was so nice to hear that because it's sometimes hard for me to see that I'm getting bigger (even though I know it's for an amazing reason).
I told DH when I got home that was the key to my heart. The next day, he texts me "I want to look like you when I'm pregnant."

so when someone sincerely was shocked that i have a 20-year-old son who is milliseconds away from being a marine... well i cried.
(i don't remember their words, it was the look on their face that put me over the edge)
