Alarm going off in some stores

Ok... Why is it that in some stores the alarm goes off when I walk in or out. Happening everywhere now! Ugh!
Express
Lord and Taylor
NY and Co
Macy's

I could mention a few more. Oh, and even just at Marshalls

There is nothing in my purse that I can imagine would set it off.

Check your jeans and shirts.
Sometimes they have skinny tags attached that need to be cut out.

OMG, I had this happen to me last year. Turned out it was in my jacket. It was a magnetic sticker thing that I had to remove.
Talk about embarrassing...Ugh.

This - and sometimes, even though they were de-activated at the time of purchase, they get re-activated... It's happened to me a bunch - it's usually my purse.

could also be your cell phone. ive walked in /out of stores with JUST my phone and it has gone off.

a few weeks ago at nordstrom after a purchase, alarms went off. Turned out the girl that rung me up forgot ALL the sensors. Security was so apologetic. He even held my bags for me as he walked me out.

Re: Alarm going off in some stores

Thanks! Couldn't be something in my jeans bc I was wearing my yoga pants. LOL!
No pockets
Nothing in my bag that is new with tags on it.
Only thing I can think of is the phone. Would happen once in a while, but just the last week or so it seems to be happening much more often. So embarrassing!
Didn't leave the store with bags in it either.

Doesn't happen in every store, but just more recently in a lot of stores.

I had this with a pocketbook once, apparently a sensor was sewn in between the liner and the leather. Didn't happen all the time but often enough. I had to take it back to Coach and get a new one...poor me, LOL

Sometimes the light up kids shoes set them off for some reason, too. If you were with your kids and their sneakers light up, that could do it.

Yes, this! And always with Coach! Thankfully the nice people at Marshalls always run my bag over the magnet pad and deactivate it for me.

Interesting! It's actually a Tory Burch bag from Nordstroms, but I should go in and ask

This happened to me with Coach a few years back. I bought a wallet from them and they never took out this tiny piece of magnetic strip in one of the compartments. Funny how it didn't go off as I left the Coach store, but every single store I went in and out of after that purchase.

All clothing from the Loft all have tags that need to be cut off. I usually forget to cut it off and whenever I wear something from there, the sensors go off

For me it was a bottle of Advil or aspirin in my purse. Had some kind of sensor sticker on it. Who would have thought.

J. Crew clothing also has a little strip sewn into the side seam that needs to be cut out.
