gift for someone running the marathon?
my boss is running the marathon this year (it's like her 4th or 5th and she ain't no spring chicken; she puts me to shame for complaining about getting on my exercise bike!!!).
I'd like to get her a little something, like a go get em or inspirational gift or something just to say i'm proud of all her training etc and i'm cheering her on. I'd totally go cheer for her but i'm away that weekend. Suggestions? Anyone running and can think of a little something you'd love to receive?

I once got a runner friend shoelace charms. I don't remember where I got them but check out DoodlebugImpressions on etsy to see what I'm talking about. They have different saying like "make it happen 26.2"

Re: gift for someone running the marathon?
I had an Etsy vendor make a custom Christmas ornament with 26.2 on it and the date the race was and what marathon it was with my boyfriends name -- this was last October and it was his first full marathon. And with Christmas right after that it was great and it's a keepsake he will always have to remember his first full marathon.
ETA--- as if he could forget bc right after he ran it he had a big, honkin marathon tattoo done on the back of his leg! LOL

When I ran the NYC Marathon my sister in law had a Pandora charm with NYC 26.2 engraved on it made for it. It was so thoughtful.

There are a whole bunch of Etsy sellers that have the shoelace charms. Here's a link to another etsy site

Re: gift for someone running the marathon?
I'm a marathoner and wouldn't like a shoe lace charm because I'm picky about my shoelaces during running races.
I got this as a present though and love it.

My favorite gift after running a marathon is a massage gift certificate.
