NYC lounge environment on the island?
Hey all. I have friends coming down from Boston this weekend and I need some nightlife ideas. Initially we were just going to go into the city, but decided now to stay on the island. Any ideas on a city-vibe-ish lounge to stop by after dinner? We have dinner reservations at Honu in Huntington (as well as Blackstones in Melville, just to have options). We live in Williston Park. With Hanu being in Huntington, I figured there may be some after dinner nightlife options, but I have no idea where. Any search I do for Long Island nightlife brings up the Hamptons....or just some basic bars.
Help! Don't tell me there isn't one sexy, trendy lounge west of the Hamptons!

Prime in huntington is great to go to for drinks. You can't walk from honu but it's straight down 110 to water.

Depending on the night. I can get a bit nuts some nights. I know the owners

leaning towards refuge or prime, but IDK...

Why not stay at Honu? What time is your res?
Prime tends to die down by 10pm and many head over to Honu for the DJ at 11 (although the DJ bites.  )

I agree.
Your best bet, OP, for what you are looking for and the time and night you are going is Honu or Refuge. They have music, get packed, have places to sit.

And I should add - I love Prime, love it.
But at that time of night on that night, it will die down a lot. I think because it is further down and out of the way - but who knows.
It is usually quiet at that time.
