Jersey people
DH and I are going to Minerals Resort next weekend for our anniversary. We have tried pretty much all the restaurants and Minerals and Grand Cascades, and none are all that great. We would like to try something else off the property. Any suggestions for a nice, romantic anniversary dinner? Maybe in Warwick or another nearby town? Any personal experience with Iron Forge, Coquito, Arta or The Grange? Those seem to be the best I could find, but I'm definitely open to other suggestions.

Re: Jersey people
not sure how far these 2 places are but http://www.paragonnj.com/events.php and http://www.morristapandgrill.com/about.html are owned by Chef Eric LeVine. He does private dining in the actual kitchen where they cook the food. Its so cool! I won an auction at a charity even and got to experience it. Hes super creative and knows his stuff. He has a few books out and won Chopped a few yrs ago. Really REALLY amazing guy
ETA- i went to the morris tap location- it isnt fancy at all. kind of like an outback, but if you get a chance to do the private dining thing, its worth it!

Re: Jersey people
Did you try the twelve table tasting menu at Grand cascades? It was about 300 so I am not sure if that is ok budget wise.

Re: Jersey people
We wound up eating outside on the patio at Iron Forge. It was a little chilly, but not too bad. We figured it might be one of our last opportunities of the year to eat outdoors so we sucked it up. The food was great and I would recommend it to anyone in the area. The big standouts for me were the smashed and fried potatoes with blue cheese appetizer and the duck entree. They were both amazing. Don't bother ordering the pasta dish, it was really bland.

Re: Jersey people
Its about a twenty minute ride, but warwick is very close to there, tons of cute little restaurants. We went to an italian place Grappa last time very quaint and the food was yummy.
