I usually eat at my desk because parking sucks where I work so it's hard to go anywhere otherwise you would not find a spot when you got back. If someone comes into my office while I'm eating I would help them.

I see both sides, and if it was me I might say the same thing but I would come to you after. I might also feel annoyed with her last comment, about you coming to her
I close my door at work and they knock or just open and come in because patient need to be seen!! if I say I am eating and i will be with patient so and so in a min. I get "the look" so when I don't want to be bothered I sit in the surgical teams lunch room where people wont look for me I cant here my name being paged 
Eating at your desk can mean a person is working through their lunch if they decided that is what they are doing. If not, people should respect her time.

I work through my lunch everyday at my desk....by choice btw. I try not to do too much work and take a bit of a break. The only thing I will not do is schedule any meetings for that time, not with the boss, not with nobody lol

I close my door but, people still knock and ask me questions. I feel like everyone in my office is so busy these days that they don't mean to interupt but, it's the only time that works for them...
this. but i rarely close my door, but i work in healthcare where situations are happening every second so i understand when people come to me because something has to be resolved timely.
some of my co workers actually leave for an hour and go out. since i have staff in the field that need to report in to me all the time for things, i need to stay by the phone.
but that's my situation. for the op situation i understand both sides. I wouldn't be upset it was just bad timing.

I'm very protective of my lunch time, but my job isn't so busy that I ever have to work through lunch. I close my door and ignore the phone if someone calls. My feeling is that if I went out to lunch they wouldn't have been able to reach me - and this is similar. When I was in an open environment (cubicle), I always left my space to go somewhere private and watched stuff on my personal iPad. I would actually get annoyed if I was sitting with my back to everyone (that's how the chairs were set up - facing a wall), with headphones on and watching something, but someone walking by would still interrupt me to make small talk.
In the OPs case, it's weird that someone would be sitting at their desk with the door open and tell someone to come back later. If the door is open, that means you're available.

I always eat in my office and sometimes I'll close the door but that doesn't stop me from picking up the phone if it rings or helping someone. I can see where she's coming from but I wouldn't make you come back I would bring whatever it was to you.
