It's hurts the gum more at this point because the tooth is dead. I have asked for Novocain before bc of how uncomfortable I was

I didn't really find either experience unpleasant. I feel like there is just some pressure when they put the crown on.

I didn't think the post and the crown was bad at all.
For me the root canal was worst.

Same. I've had a couple of root canals and didn't find either experience bad.
