Is this a good price?
I've never bought large heroes before..is 13.99 per foot for an Italian hero a good price? I'm getting two 6 foot heroes..

Fairway is actually more expensive..$15 a foot without sides and a little over $19 a foot with sides

it comes with a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE salad. if you get 2 orders thats 2 salads that could def feed 50+ ppl. they are enormous. might come out cheaper than 14$/ft if you factor in everything youre getting.

This is very important to find out.
I've ordered from a few places where they send those small butter-size containers of salads to feed 50 people.

nope.. tubs of potato and macaroni salad plus a huge HUGE garden salad. the garden salad took up a lil less than half my dining room table ( seats six ) lol

Is it from a deli? I think deli would be much better quality than fairway or king kullen. Where do you live?

Don't know anything out there. Have you checked with delis? The deli near me in Bayside (that has great food) is 15.95 a foot and comes with the salads.

King Kullen actually makes very good heros. They use boars head cold cuts.

This. It's the same cold cuts as an expensive deli.
It's Boars Head.
It's actually excellent.

Primavera on 107 in Massapequa is excellent, as well as the Fairway on Broadway in N. Massapequa - both have packages that come w/ salads.

We just got 4 , 3 foot heroes at BJs ( 2-American and 2-Italian) for 26 dollars and change per 3 foot hero. People were raving about them. Even my father in law who is super picky. We use them for all our heroes and have always loved them and gotten great feedback from guests.

Yes we always order fairway at work it's awesome and you get so much. We never get cold cuts we usually get the steak and chicken sandwiches and a veg one. It def a great deal if you aren't ordering cold cut sandwiches. Though the amount of side Salad you get makes up the price difference from most places.
To answer the original question i fell $13.99 is about average.
ETA : 13.99 I feel is average for a deli as previous poster stated BJs def has the best deal but they don't cut them at least they didn't cut mine when I ordered a hero from them.
