Best way to south shore Suffolk from laGuardia - please don't move ! I'm here now and don't know good way to get home!
Help! I'm supposed to be flying out but the flights been delayed multiple times and I'm very concerned it will be canceled. DH is home with three sleeping kids so I'm trying to figure out a way home if the flight cancels.
I'm thinking take a cab to woodside and then take train to Jamaica and take train as Far East as I can get but stick to a main line with hopes that I can get a cab to take me all the way to my house.
Am I crazy? It'll be the middle of the night!

Honestly, in the middle of the night I would likely cab it home. It'll be expensive, but the trains run once per hour in the middle of the night. I also would't count on finding a cab on LI that late unless you call a car service.
ETA: might be cheaper to call a cab to take you home than a yellow cab. I'm from Queens and I like Lindy's 718-326-3333. It's not luxury, but most of the drivers are sweet grandpas!

If possible, call a car service and make arrangements to have them pick you up and bring you home. Good luck.

Exactly this--it's the safest option. I wouldn't stand around any LIRR station alone at 2am

Thx. This happened to me before at lga so I try to only to out of Islip or JFK. My client did my booking for me out of JFK but I got bumped to lga due to the weather. I left home 9hrs ago and I'm still just a county away. Ugh.

Yeah I was going to suggest the train but you would have to change in Jamaica and yeah don't do that in the middle of the night and alone!

What if you stay in an airport hotel overnight and let him pick you up in the morning? I would be leery of traveling alone via public transport in the middle of the night.

I hope you are alright. Take the safest option. The grandpa driving service sounds safe. As is Uber. You could also take a cab over to the Clarion Hotel which is just across from La Guardia to stay the night. It's not luxurious, and stank like cigarettes when we stayed there, but you would be safe. Just let your DH know where you are.
