Alzheimer's alert just went off on my phone

My iPhone 5 just started making the loudest blaring alarm, one I have never heard before, and there was what looked like a text message labeled Alzheimer's Alert about an 80 something year old named Charlotte ... which I couldn't read as I was fumbling with my phone to unlock it so I could turn off the super loud alarm and read the rest of the message. It vanished as I got the phone unlocked and now I can't find any reference to it in text or phone records. Has anyone else had this happen?

It both startled and scared me, especially as it had my daughter's name Charlotte in the message which I saw before I could read much more. As a mom, all my internal alarms went off after seeing her name, even though the title was Alzheimer's Alert.

What good is an public service alarm and text message that leaves no record of itself so that people can't see who is missing, where and what the person were wearing?

I get Amber alerts like that. At the top of the screen, pull the menu down and it should be there

I swiped the menu down and found it. Apparently an 81 year old wearing light pants and a white sweater is missing in my area as a local phone number is listed. I googled it and it's the police station just east of my hamlet. I hope they find her. The family must be so worried.
