Three words:

Nutella Ice Cream

yummmmmm

I tried it last summer, it's nothing special. Really didn't taste like Nutella to me.

You're better off getting vanilla and melting real nutella and putting it on top.

Chat Icon

ok now I have to have this...........this sounds sooo yummy...add some rainbow sprinkles...perfection!

Anyone like Trader Joe's Cookie Butter?
That on vanilla ice cream is pretty much an 0rgasm in a bowl!

Is that the speculoos they sell? YES!! That stuff is sooo friggin good!!!

They also sell this black and white swirled cookies and cream cookie butter in a jar. Have you tried it? I haven't yet, but now I want some on a bowl of carvel lol.

Oh I love speculoos! Had in on my Belgian waffle with nutella and strawberry from the Wafles & Dinges Truck! It was amazing!!!!

According to the poster who started all this drama and a 6 page Carvel/BJ thread, Carvel is fake food and full of chemicals!

I was the one who posted about the chemicals, and I did so partly with a sense of mischief, knowing it would probably start something - and it did! :pot stir:

I have to say I have laughed my way through this thread until I have tears running down my cheeks right now. Thanks for all the fun ladies! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Enjoy your Carvel cones, or whatever you want to have with nuts Chat Icon, and I wish you all much enjoyment! I just have to avoid foods with chemicals because I have two types of cancer - true this - and have to be super careful about what I eat as I have been told such things are suspected to be triggers.

I sure miss Oreos sometimes late at night, though.

Chat Icon I guess the powered milk could be bad for the body, but at least it will help to preserve the body when dead.Chat Icon

Make your own decision, but real ice-cream has about five ingredients and when I bake none of my ingredients at home have numbers in them, nor do they contain Titanium Dioxide which Dunkin' Doughnuts just took out of its powdered sugar due to concerns.

Here's the ingredients for a Carvel cake from Walmart:

Ice Cream And Chocolate Flavored Crunchies: Milk, Cream, Sugar, Bleached Wheat Flour, Corn Syrup, Coconut Oil, Cocoa Processed With Alkali, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Caramel Color, Egg Yolks, Chocolate Liquor, Mono And Di-Glycerides, Cellulose Gum, Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Guar Gum, Polysorbate 65, Polysorbate 80, Carrageenan, Soy Lecithin, Salt, Artificial And Natural Flavors, Baking Soda & Soy Flour. White Whipped Frosting: Water, Partially Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Oil, Sugar, Dextrose, Corn Syrup, Sodium Caseinate, Artificial Flavor, Polyglycerol Esters of Fatty Acids, Soy Lecithin, Polysorbate 60, Carbohydrate Gum, Salt, Soy Protein Isolate, Potassium Sorbate, & Xanthan Gum. In all fairness to you, I totally understand that sometimes it's hard to be carefree about what you ingest once you have had cancer. That's where your mindset is, totally get that. The reality is many people just don't care because they have not been faced with the same reality as you.Chat Icon

Sweet of you. I wish I could protect the world from cancer. It's awful. The best I can do is protect my family as much as humanly possible, so only wholesome foods and ice cream for them - I read labels to be sure. I don't ever want to look back and say I wish I had been more careful ...

ITA. Unfortunately, our view should probably change BEFORE something like that happens. But it is hard to understand or care until it does become our own reality.
