i have friends who love cats.
my SIL has two.
i'll ask around.
MY cat barely tolerates DS, so I doubt another animal would work in our house.

 Now that they're walking they like to be in the same room and play wherever we are.

We have 2 great danes  We always have the kittens get used to the dogs so whatever home they go to, if there are dogs, the kittens won't be afraid. We got our dogs as puppies and they grew up with tons of cats and kittens around.
The problem is on the dog end. Puppies with a cat or kitten is almost always OK, but some adult dogs will never tolerate a cat or kitten. The dog will always terrorize it, it's just instinct, not the dogs fault. It just depends on the dog.
This is my dane with a kitten we were fostering.

My girl loves all creatures though. Maybe I could test it. Supervised of course to see. Coco is a gentle giant. She plays with my brothers Yorkie.
